Under the direction of the BIA program and Lake Management, the Lake
Management Technician is a responsible position. Tasks include monitoring,
controlling, and maintaining lake activities and facilities within the Lake Tombigbee
Campgrounds. The technician must be distinct by providing useful services to the
general public and flexible with tasks.
Clear cutting of underbrush and grass on park grounds and surrounding lake.
Trash pick up of campsites, park roads, lake recreational areas and facilities.
Daily site preparation of campsites and facilities
Repairing and monitoring lake facilities, hiking trails and lake frontage
Enforcement of safety regulations in lake sport activities, boats/canoes, etc.
Inventory and record keeping of program equipment
Assessing, evaluating, feeding and identifying problems with stocked fish
Performs other duties as relevant for the position
Able to work under own initiative and complete work as instructed.
Able to work flexible scheduling and occasional after hour calls.
Able to thoroughly communicate with program employees and associates.
Become familiar with operations, collections, rates, rules and regulations, etc.
Able to operate general landscaping and outdoor machinery.
Able to lift heavy objects and maintain walking trails.
Able to achieve basic first aid and CPR training.
Knowledge of fish feeding procedures or be willing to learn.
Must have a valid Texas Driver's License with a good driving record
Must be willing to work weekends, holidays and annual/special events as
