This is a non-supervisory position involving clerical duties for the Tribal Realty

Department of the Alabama-Coushatta Tribe of Texas. Duties include receiving

and referring all telephone calls and visitors as well as routine secretarial functions.

This position involves high volume contact with all program staff and governmental

agencies,including Tribal,Federal, State, and local entities

• Answers telephone calls in a professional manner, record messages and/or

directs calls to appropriate person.

• Provide clerical support for the Tribal Realty Officer.

• Maintains calendar for scheduled meetings and reserves meeting rooms.

• Prepares materials for meetings, such as making copies and setting up

meeting rooms.

• Prepares and processes purchase requisitions for the Tribal Realty

Department.

• Orders,distributes,and maintains inventory of supplies for the department.

• May run errands for the Tribal Realty Officer.

• Distributes incoming and outgoing mail.

• Receive, scan, and file records.

• Accompany Tribal Realty Officer in the field for site/boundary inspections,

investigate boundary disputes, and inspect and document survey markers.

• Performs other such duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Knowledge and proficiency in the use of technology (computer software

programs including Microsoft Word, Excel,and Suite applications).

• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and oral form.

• Ability to perform clerical tasks quickly and accurately.

• Ability to work independently and organize complex clerical tasks.

• Ability to accomplish work responsibilities with minimum supervision.

• Ability to be flexible and to adapt in a variety of situations.

• Ability to meet strict timelines and able to multi-task.

• Must possess a strong organizational skills.

• Must possess excellent editing and proofreading skills.

MIMINUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• High school graduation or GED.

• Two years secretarial/receptionist experience.

• Must have a valid Texas Driver's License.

• Must be able to pass a background check.

• Must be able to pass a drug test
