IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR DRINKING WATER
Monitoring Requirements Not Met for Alabama-Coushatta Tribe of Texas Westside Water System
(PWS# 061870124)
Our water system violated drinking water standards over the past year. Even though this was not an emergency, as our customers, you have a right to know what happened and what we are doing to correct this situation.
What happened?
We are required to monitor your drinking water for specific contaminants on a regular basis. Results of regular monitoring are an indicator of whether or not our drinking water meets health standards. During September 2025, we did not monitor or test adequately for Disinfection Byproducts – Total Trihalomethanes (TTHMs) at the approved sampling sites, and therefore cannot be sure of the quality of our drinking water during that time.
Please see the table below for information regarding missed sample:

What should I do?
There is nothing you need to do at this time.
What is being done?
Public Works is taking a special sample with an accredited laboratory to ensure that the drinking water is within acceptable limits.
